Create light trails images and stunning night cityscapes in this photography workshop in Norwich. Make the most of the dark evenings to try a different style of photography. Night shots simplify scenes and give opportunities for creative photos using long exposures. We will look at how to create light trails in your images to add a splash of colour. This workshop will explore parts of Norwich city centre by night.
You will need a camera that allows you to control all the settings manually. For the long exposures a tripod is essential. If you need to borrow one for the workshop please let us know as soon as you can. If using a DSLR it is a good idea to use your eyepiece cover to stop stray light coming in the back of the viewfinder. Also, if you have a cable shutter release this can be helpful. If not, just make sure you know how to set your timer delay.
This workshop will involve some walking around Norwich so please do let us know if you have any mobility problems that might affect this. Final details of where to meet and suggestions for parking will be emailed out a few days before the workshop. On the night, do make sure your battery is fully charged and that you have plenty of space on your memory cards! We will be a very small group to ensure maximum roadside safety as well as maximum benefit for all participants. We advise wearing reflective and/or high visibility clothing for increased safety. If you require a high vis jacket please let us know and we may be able to lend you one.
