Basic Portrait Photography Workshop (Outdoors)
Our basic portrait photography workshop is for anyone who is new to portrait photography. Whether you want to take better pictures of your children or grandchildren or are looking to explore photographing models, you will learn many tricks of the trade to help you get great pictures. We will look at choosing a good spot, creating a strong composition, making your subject stand out and more. There will be an experienced model for you to practise with on the day. It is a great opportunity for you to gain confidence and to have fun with other photographers.
Most cameras are suitable for this photography workshop. We are happy to offer recommendations for the best equipment to use. If you are unsure whether your camera is appropriate please do get in touch and we’ll try to help. You will not need a tripod or a flash. If you have a flash then you might like to bring it along if you would like to try it out. If your camera came with a manual then it may be an idea to bring that on the day in case you are unsure how to find a particular function.
As with all our photography courses, the basic portrait photography workshop has a limited number of spaces. This ensure that everyone gets time with the model and has a chance to ask any questions. So, do book early to avoid missing out. In the event of bad weather we may need to re-arrange the time and/or day.
You will receive expert tuition from Joe Lenton. Joe holds an Associateship with the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers specialising in outdoor portrait photography. He is an experienced tutor who enjoys helping people to unleash their creativity.
