
Dry weather can leave you with dry, dead grass. This can spoil landscape photos, portraits, architectural photography and more. So, I’d like to share with you a quick and easy way to get started with retouching grass. In just a few seconds you can make grass green again! We will look at how you change the above image with the patchy dry grass into this one with a healthy lawn:

See how easy that is?! Simply paint the colour you want to replace any dead bits with using a blank layer in the “Colour” blend mode. You can then adjust the contrast, brightness, hue, etc further by making a selection of what you’ve painted in and using that as a mask for an adjustment layer.
