Beach Portraits – Photography Workshop
The beach is a great place to relax and have fun. So, it makes an ideal location for more informal portrait photography. Whether you are taking pictures of your friends or family or if you are creating professional lifestyle portraits, the beach is a great venue. It can pose its own challenges, especially in bright summer light. So, we will be looking at ways of dealing with strong light and contrast, for example.
We will be working with a great model at a Norfolk beach, so it will be an ideal opportunity to add to your portfolio. As well as using natural light, we will explore how flash can add to your portraits, including working with off-camera flash.
This workshop will suit anyone who is familiar with the main controls of their camera and has some experience of taking pictures of people. If you are not confident with your camera controls then we would recommend starting with our beginners’ photography workshop.
Your tutor, Joe Lenton, has an Associateship with the Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers specialising in outdoor portraits. You can see examples of Joe’s images on this page.
